With nearly two decades of experience on the grantee side, we bring deep, lived insight into social impact initiatives to help funders move resources with greater precision, equity, and effectiveness. Meet our founder
Shared Impact Advisors was founded by Lindsay McClain Opiyo, a nonprofit and philanthropy executive with over 17 years of experience aligning strategy, operations, and teams to strengthen community impact. Her career spans nonprofits, foundations, and higher education—across both national and international contexts—with a focus on community-led peace, justice, and equity.
Lindsay has supported partners in 20 countries across North America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, and has held leadership roles across executive management, development, communications, research, and programs. She has raised over $8.6M in funding and has served as an Executive Director and as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, leading key initiatives, building systems, and turning vision into action. Known as both a builder and a bridger, she connects people, ideas, and structures to drive meaningful, lasting change.
Her past clients include UN OHCHR, the International Center for Transitional Justice, and Generations For Peace.
Now based in her hometown of Nashville, TN, Lindsay partners with clients locally, nationally, and internationally—leveraging global and national experience to support grassroots leadership and forge strong, values-driven partnerships that create shared impact.
